How the Mind Works

From Mind Hacks:
The Technology, Entertainment, Design conference has strayed from its original focus and now hosts a wide-ranging set of talks, including a number on 'How the Mind Works', all of which are available online as streamed video.

...

Helen Fisher talks about the psychology and biology of love, Daniel Gilbert talks about happiness and why we are so bad at understanding it, Ray Kurzweil talk about how we're shortly all to become super evolved drug-enhanced semi-robots.
The other speakers include Daniel Dennett, Tony Robbins, Peter Donnelly, and many others, so I think it's definitely worth some exploration. Full post here, watch the videos here.

I also recommend de Grey's talks, which are tremendously exciting if short on details.

I love the blog. You and other neuroscientists are providing a wonderful public service for those undergraduates (like me) who aspire to your field of study. Keep it up!
